When you open a new pack of cards in any NBA 2K game, there’s a thrill of hope and sometimes the disappointment when you don’t get what you hoped for. Those pack odds can feel pretty harsh at times. We want to provide you with a little insight into what’s going on behind the scenes, so you know how we try to keep this fair for everyone.
All gamers have the exact same drop rates, which can be found under the “More Info” button before purchasing a pack. Each pack is generated independently at the time of purchase, like a real-world pack of cards, according to the probability highlighted in-game. Just like buying actual cards in a physical store, no matter when you open them those cards are already set in the pack and they won’t change, even if you are disconnected from the server, the game crashes, or another issue occurs during the pack opening sequence.
Keep in mind that the probability of receiving a specific item remains consistent regardless of payment method, account history, or activity. The odds stay the same with every new pack – if it’s 5% for the first pack, it doesn’t increase with the second, third, or any packs beyond that. Specific cards aren’t guaranteed unless clearly stated in the pack description. We know it’s disappointing when the results don’t go your way, but we aren’t able to adjust the outcomes or offer refunds for pack pulls.
Best of luck with your all your packs!
