Want to learn more about Rebirths for NBA 2K26? Check out some of our common questions and answers below.

What is Rebirth?

After reaching certain milestones on your MyPLAYER, Rebirths can get you to get a head start on your next MyPLAYER build. You can also reach new OVRs, badge tiers, and it will grant a permanent +10% badge progression boost.

What Rebirths are available this year?

There are four tiers of Rebirths for NBA 2K26: Silver, Gold, Hall of Fame and Legend.

Silver Rebirth is unlocked at 90 OVR and allows you to instantly unlock any newly created MyPLAYER’s maximum potential to the highest overall rating you’ve previously reached and automatically upgrades your Badges to Silver once attribute requirements are met.

As you reach 95 OVR across new MyPLAYERS you will unlock Gold, Hall of Fame, and Legend Rebirth. These new tiers of Rebirth automatically upgrade your Badges to its respective tier once attribute requirements are met.

How can I unlock Rebirth?

The Rebirth quest line is automatically unlocked. Each tier of Rebirth will have requirements to unlock them and will complete automatically once the requirements are met. Progress can be tracked in MyCAREER quests under Unlockables.

Does Rebirth take Cap Breakers into consideration when upgrading badges?

When creating a new Rebirth save only the original build’s stats will be considered when badges are automatically upgraded. So, if a max badge level was Silver but a Cap-Breaker is used and grinded to make it Gold, even if a Gold Rebirth is done that badge will still only go to Silver.
