How to disable communications in NBA 2K:

To adjust voice chat:

  1. Open the Social Menu
  2. Head to Options 
  3. Toggle voice chat to Enabled or Disabled

To block a player:

  1. Open the Social Menu
  2. Scroll to the player you’d like to block
  3. Select Block/Report
  4. Select Block Player

How to disable communications by platform:

Microsoft Xbox Series X|S

To adjust voice chat: 

  1. Head to Settings then Account
  2. Select Privacy & Online safety
  3. Select Xbox Privacy to View Details & Customize
  4. Select Communication & Multiplayer

You can then adjust your communication settings to your personal preference.


To block a player:

  1. Press the Xbox button 
  2. Go to "People
  3. Select the recent player, then choose More > Block.
Sony PlayStation 5

To adjust voice chat:

  1. Press the PlayStation button to open the Control Center
  2. Select Sound
  3. Select Game Voice Chat

You can then adjust your communication settings to your personal preference.


To block a player:

  1. Go to the player's profile in the Recent Players list under the Game Base menu
  2. Select the Options button (three dots), and select Block.
Nintendo Switch 2

To adjust voice chat:

  1. Press the C Button
  2. Select the Settings icon
  3. Select Audio

You can then adjust your communication settings to your personal preference.


To block a player:

  1. Select your user icon on the Home Menu, then select Add Friend
  2. Select Search for Users You Played With
  3. Select Block, then select Block again to confirm.
Steam

To block a player:

  1. Open the Steam friends list
  2. Go to the Recent Players tab 

Find the user, and select Block all communication
