NBA 2K26: Animation Breakers FAQ

PUBLISHED:
UPDATED:

Animation Breakers are a new type of Game Changer card that gives you the ability to change any player’s entire animation package, including jumpshot, dribble, and dunks, to a different animation package.

How can I use an Animation Breaker?

To use an Animation Breaker, select a Player Card in your MyTEAM Collection, scroll down to “Select Game Changer,” then select Animation Breaker. Keep in mind that applying an Animation Breaker to a card will make it unauctionable.

Animation Breakers have a one time use, so be sure to carefully consider which cards you'd like to use them on!

How can I update animations?

When you apply an Animation Breaker, you’ll be prompted with the choice to update that player’s animation package. If you want to change it later, go back to the Player Card and select “Update Animation” to choose a new animation package.

You can go back at any time to update your Player Card with a new animation; another Animation Breaker isn’t required.

You can also restore your Player Card to its default animation package by selecting “Restore Original Animation.” However, the Animation Breaker won’t be removed, meaning once you apply it, it’s attached to the Player Card forever.

Where can I find my Animation Breakers?

They'll be located in the Game Changers menu, with the rest of your Game Changer cards.

What are animation packages?

These are a set pack of animations you can apply to your cards. They're an all or nothing, so you can either have the whole set of an animation package, or the original animations.

What animation packages are available?

Bronze tier animation packages are currently available, with higher tiers of animation packages to come in the future. The Bronze tier features several iconic players, including Shaquille O’Neal, Paul Pierce, Rashard Lewis, and others.

Can I swap cards with Animation Breakers?

Animation breakers work similarly to badge and shoe cards; a Player Card with an Animation Breaker attached can be swapped for a duplicate, but your Animation Breaker won’t transfer to the newly acquired card.
